By Rob Aseltine. Updated October 2026.
I learned to ski in New England. I taught my first lessons here. Jay Peak taught me to ski powder and chase my dreams so it holds a special place in my heart and years later I came back to teach ski biking there and Mount Sunapee, on the same kind of runs that raised me.

The East runs ski biking its own way. Most of the big resorts run their own programs, and several allow nothing but three-ski bikes. The après is the best in the country, mainly cause you can always to catch a Pats or Bruins game with a fired up crowd.

Rentals and Programs
The East is mostly resort-run, which means the bike's waiting when you get there. Sunday River, Sugarloaf, Loon, Mount Sunapee, Stratton, Jay Peak, Holimont, Kissing Bridge, Swain and Powder Ridge all rent on site. Nearly all of those programs run three-ski bikes, which is exactly what you want on day one. The one outlier:
-
East Coast Ski Bike (Henniker, NH). Lenz Type II bikes at $150 a day, delivered to Pats Peak for $130 within an hour's drive.
Adaptive Ski Biking
-
Mount Southington welcomes adaptive riders alongside three-ski bikes.
-
Okemo allows ski bikes for adaptive skiing. Connect with ski patrol before your day.
-
Adaptive Sports Foundation (Windham, NY) runs three-ski bike programs at Big SNOW in New Jersey.
